The UAE’s Fuel Price Committee is poised to unveil petrol and diesel rates for April shortly.
As per the deregulation policy introduced in 2015, these prices are adjusted monthly to mirror international rates.
In March 2024, petrol prices in the UAE saw a consecutive increase, with Super 98, Special 95, and E-Plus 91 fetching Dh3.03, Dh2.92, and Dh2.85 per liter, respectively.
Global oil prices surged in March 2024 compared to the previous month, driven by a tighter supply outlook and increased geopolitical tensions.
Crude prices reached a four-month peak in mid-March following the International Energy Agency’s forecast of a tighter market and a heightened demand growth projection for the year.
WTI crude traded at $83.17 per barrel, marking a 2.24% increase, while Brent climbed 1.86% to $87.0.
Brent’s average price in March stood at approximately $84.25 per barrel, up from $81.3 the month prior. This $3 rise in average price in March is anticipated to influence April’s prices, expected to be announced over the weekend.
Residents and businesses in the UAE await the monthly petrol and diesel rates to manage their fuel expenses effectively.
