The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has announced the schedule for online registration for MDCAT 2026, providing aspiring medical and dental students with important dates and examination details.
According to the schedule, online registration for MDCAT 2026 will begin on June 22, while the entry test will be conducted on August 16 at 10:00 am across the country and at selected international locations.
The last date for regular registration has been set as July 8, while candidates will be able to submit late registrations until July 13 by paying an additional fee.
PMDC has fixed the MDCAT registration fee at Rs9,000 for candidates in Pakistan. The late registration fee has been set at Rs13,000, which will be non-refundable.
The MDCAT 2026 examination will consist of 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and will not include negative marking. The subject-wise distribution includes 81 questions from Biology, 45 from Chemistry, 36 from Physics, and 9 questions each from English and Logical Reasoning.
Examination centers will be established in major cities, including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Peshawar, and Quetta, among others. Candidates will only be allowed to select examination centers according to their province or domicile.
In a significant development for overseas Pakistanis, PMDC has also established an international MDCAT 2026 examination center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
MDCAT remains a mandatory entrance examination for admissions to MBBS and BDS programs in Pakistan and will be conducted under the supervision of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.
