Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has issued a strong warning to the United States, stating that Iran’s powerful armed forces will not leave any attack or threat unanswered.
Speaking amid rising regional tensions, Araghchi said that despite what he described as previous failures, Washington had chosen to test Iran’s resolve once again. He emphasized that Iran’s military remains fully prepared to respond to any form of aggression.
The Iranian foreign minister warned that foreign military forces operating in the region face continuous risks and suggested that their withdrawal would be the most effective way to reduce tensions. According to Araghchi, the history of the Persian Gulf contains numerous examples of unfavorable outcomes for outside powers that intervened in the region.
He further cautioned that human error, accidents, or possible crossfire incidents could trigger a wider escalation, making de-escalation an urgent priority.
While reaffirming that Iran prefers diplomacy, Araghchi stressed that Tehran has other options available if necessary. He also stated that the Strait of Hormuz is not an international waterway but a shared passage between Iran and Oman, located far from U.S. shores and governed by clearly defined maritime boundaries.
Araghchi concluded by saying that Iran’s armed forces are on high alert and ready to respond to any air, land, or sea violation.
