Washuk, Pakistan: Five laborers from Punjab were shot dead after unidentified armed attackers opened fire at shops in the Mashkel area of Balochistan’s Washuk district on Sunday, police said.
According to police sources, the victims were working at local shops when the assailants opened indiscriminate fire, killing all five on the spot.
Authorities confirmed that all of the deceased were residents of different parts of Punjab. The attackers fled the scene immediately after the assault.
Police said legal formalities are being completed before the bodies are transported to the victims’ hometowns. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
Security forces and other law enforcement agencies have also initiated search operations to trace and arrest those responsible for the deadly attack.
