NCCIA Forms JIT in Harassment Case Involving Actress Momina Iqbal

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has submitted a report regarding the harassment and threats case filed by actress Momina Iqbal against PML-N MPA Saqib Chadhar and his wife, Sameera.

According to the investigating officer, the NCCIA has changed the investigation process and constituted a Joint Investigation Team (JIT). The officer said that, at present, the arrest of Saqib Chadhar and Sameera is not required.

The investigating officer further stated that Saqib Chadhar withdrew his interim bail after considering the investigator’s statement.

Speaking to the media after appearing before the sessions court, Chadhar said the NCCIA had reviewed the evidence he provided and informed him that his arrest was not required. He thanked Allah and claimed that the development had established that the case was false and baseless.

Meanwhile, Momina Iqbal said she had been requesting from the beginning that the case be investigated impartially. She maintained that no woman would make such allegations just 10 days before her marriage without reason.

The actress added that she had trusted people who had claimed to know both sides of the story and said she would not abandon the case, regardless of whom the other side approached.
