Pakistan’s National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced a new procedure for issuing Juvenile Cards to children under the age of 18, making the application process more structured and accessible for parents and legal guardians.
According to NADRA, parents or legal guardians must first register the child in the NADRA system before obtaining an application token. During the application process, the child’s photograph and fingerprints will be captured, while the accompanying parent or guardian must complete biometric verification.
After the required information is entered, an approval officer will verify the application. Once approved, applicants can pay the prescribed fee online, and the Juvenile Card will be issued within the selected service timeframe.
NADRA has also announced the following service charges and delivery timelines:
Normal Service: Rs750 – Card delivered within 31 days
Urgent Service: Rs1,500 – Card delivered within 23 days
Executive Service: Rs2,500 – Card delivered within 9 days
The authority clarified that applications can be submitted by the child’s father, mother, or legal guardian. However, in cases where the mother or legal guardian applies, the presence of one of them is mandatory during the process.
Applicants are also required to provide fingerprints, a mobile number, an email address, and details of the child’s computerized birth certificate.
For further information or assistance, citizens can contact the NADRA helpline at 1777 or visit the official NADRA website.
