LAHORE: What first appeared to be a routine shooting in Nawab Town has unraveled into a chilling tale of love, betrayal, and deadly obsession.
Police confirmed that Nadeem Irshad was not the victim of a random attack—but was allegedly killed by a woman he had trusted for years.
According to investigators, the two were traveling together on Tuesday when a heated argument erupted inside the car. In a sudden escalation, the woman allegedly grabbed Nadeem’s own pistol and fired, killing him on the spot.
The case took a dramatic turn as forensic evidence and interrogation pointed directly toward the woman, who was initially believed to be just a witness.
Digging deeper, police uncovered a complex backstory.
The pair had been in a close relationship for nearly four years. The woman had reportedly separated from her husband, believing their future was certain.
But tensions escalated when Nadeem’s family arranged his engagement to a lady doctor—triggering what police describe as intense emotional distress and feelings of betrayal.
“Jealousy and fear of abandonment appear to have driven the suspect,” an investigator said.
Authorities have taken the woman into custody and recovered the murder weapon. Legal proceedings are now underway.
What began as a quiet drive ended in cold-blooded murder—another stark reminder of how unresolved emotions can spiral into irreversible tragedy.
