#ShameOnPCB trends as PCB leaves out Imran Khan from tribute video

Excluding Imran Khan from PCB video is 'Shock of my life,' says Wasim Akram

#ShameOnPCB has become the top trend on Twitter after PCB released the tribute video, excluding the legendary cricketer Imran Khan. Another iconic fast bowler calls it a big shock of his life.

Former Pakistan captain Imran Khan stands as one of the most esteemed cricket figures in the nation’s history. It was under his astute leadership that Pakistan claimed victory in the 1992 World Cup.

However, the Pakistan Cricket Board’s recent social media video, which commemorated the achievements of its legendary players, notably omitted any reference to Imran Khan.

This omission ignited a wave of indignation among fans who expressed their frustration on Twitter, chastising the PCB for its perceived slight. Even Khalid Mahmood, a former chairman of the board, voiced his displeasure, demanding the removal of the video released on Independence Day due to its failure to acknowledge Imran Khan’s significant contributions to the sport within the country.

The board now faces substantial criticism and backlash for the video’s glaring omission of the former captain, who masterminded Pakistan’s triumphant campaign in the 1992 World Cup.

Iconic fast bowler Wasim Akram’s reaction to the ‘controversial PCB video’

After long flights and hours of transit before reaching Sri Lanka, I got the shock of my life when I watched PCB’s short clip on the history of Pakistan cricket minus the great Imran Khan… political differences apart but Imran Khan is an icon of world cricket and developed Pakistan into a strong unit in his time and gave us a pathway… PCB should delete the video and apologize.

Here is the Video:

Making history isn't just about one day, it's about the legends we create and the tales we script 💫

You can't minus him from ANYWHERE. He is there, he is the history, present and reality! Stop living in your small heads!

He is engraved in every cricket lover's memories. You will lose your own identity by airbrushing history. #ShameOnPCB#بائیکاٹ_کرکٹ#NoKhanNoPCBSupport pic.twitter.com/9ryg7TZRas
