Selena Gomez recently released her new single, “Single Soon,” but her focus is on her health as she revealed on Instagram that she had broken her hand and undergone surgery.
The pop star expressed her happiness in making music with friends rather than prioritizing sales. The song is an anthemic pop track produced by Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat, and it comes with a music video celebrating singlehood, featuring a nod to an iconic scene from “Sex and the City.”
The “Calm Down” singer didn’t elaborate further on how the injury occurred or when the surgery happened.
“I’m picking out this dress/ Trying on these shoes/ ‘Cause I’ll be single soon/ I’ll be single soon,” Gomez sings in the anthemic pop song.
In the visual, which celebrates singlehood, Gomez freshly breaks up with her former flame and embraces her independence, going out on the town with her girlfriends.
