The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rain in various cities across the country, while rain is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Attock during the next 1 to 3 hours. Heavy rain is also expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Attock, Taxila, Murree and Galiyat. In addition, heavy rain is expected in Peshawar over the next 24 hours.
According to the Meteorological Department, rain is also expected in Chitral, Dir, Bajaur, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Charsadda and Swat.
Rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms is expected in Kohistan. Rain is also likely in Kurram, Kohat, Bannu and Lakki Marwat.
In Dera Ismail Khan, rain accompanied by strong winds and hailstorm is expected. The Meteorological Department has also warned that strong winds and rain may damage weak infrastructure, mud houses and electricity poles.
In Nowshera, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, heavy rain and hailstorms occurred at various locations, damaging crops and orchards. Water levels also rose in streams and drains, while water accumulated on roads.
