PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has constituted a six-member high-level committee in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in a bid to resolve internal differences and strengthen party discipline.
According to an official statement issued by the party leadership, the committee will be headed by senior PTI leader Asad Qaiser. Other members include Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati, Ali Asghar Khan, Meena Khan, Akbar Ayub, and Atif Khan.
The party said the newly formed body will play a key role in improving coordination between the parliamentary party and the provincial government to ensure greater harmony in governance and party decision-making.
The committee has also been tasked with serving as a consultative forum among the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the party’s provincial president, and the Tehreek Tahafuz-e-Ayeen leadership. Its objective is to facilitate consensus-building and collective decision-making on important political and administrative matters.
The move comes amid efforts by the party leadership to address internal challenges and maintain unity within PTI’s ranks in the province.
