A Station House Officer (SHO) of Banda Daud Shah Police Station, Daud Khan, and his gunman, Farhad, were martyred in a firing attack on police in Karak.
According to Karak District Police Officer (DPO) Imran Khan, police personnel from Banda Daud Shah Police Station were on routine patrol when armed men opened fire on them near New Karpa, close to the boundary between Kohat and Karak.
As a result of the firing, SHO Banda Daud Shah Daud Khan and his gunman Farhad were martyred. A passerby was also injured in the incident.
The DPO said that after receiving information about the incident, additional police personnel reached the site. The area was cordoned off, and a search operation was launched to arrest the suspects involved in the attack.
Police continued efforts in the area to trace and apprehend the armed men responsible for the firing.
