On Sunday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the central contracts for players, excluding Fakhar Zaman, while awarding contracts to 25 players. Several players were downgraded in the new list.
As per the details of the current PCB central contracts, Category A players, including Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, receive 4.5 million PKR (approximately 15,200 USD) per month.
In Category B, players like Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah earn 3 million PKR (around 10,150 USD) monthly. Category C players receive around 1.5 million PKR (5,075 USD), and Category D players are compensated at the same level as those in Category C.
The players in Categories C and D include Shadab Khan, Abdullah Shafique, Salman Agha, Saud Shakeel, Haris Rauf, Saim Ayub, Abrar Ahmed, Aamir Jamal, Mohammad Wasim Jr., Mohammad Huraira, Mir Hamza, Khurram Shehzad, Mohammad Ali, Usman Khan, Irfan Niazi, Haseebullah Khan, Abbas Afridi, and Kamran Ghulam. Notably, Nauman Ali and Sajid Khan were upgraded to Category C in the latest contract.
It’s worth noting that these amounts reflect only the players’ monthly salaries. In addition, cricketers earn match fees, sponsorship income across formats (Test, ODI, T20), and performance bonuses.
