The live broadcast of the second ODI between Pakistan and Australia was abruptly suspended on Pakistan’s national sports channel, PTV Sports. According to sources, this suspension occurred due to PTV Sports’ failure to pay the dues to Tower Sports, the broadcaster holding exclusive rights for the series. The channel already facing financial issues, could not settle its outstanding payments, which led Tower Sports to suspend the broadcast.
Sources indicate that Pakistan national sports channel will not be able to resume live coverage of the matches until the pending amount is cleared. This last minute decision to suspend the broadcast left cricket fans across the country disappointed, as they had eagerly awaited the match. This sudden action not only increased fan frustration but also raised concerns about PTV’s financial stability and its broadcasting policies.
