Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Yousaf has announced his resignation as the national team’s selector, citing personal reasons.
Yousaf, one of Pakistan’s most successful batsmen, took to social media to share his decision. He expressed pride in serving the team and contributing to cricket’s growth, adding that he has complete faith in Pakistani players’ talent and passion.
Yousaf’s impressive cricket career spanned 1998-2010, with 7,530 Test runs and 9,720 ODI runs. He holds the record for most Test runs scored in a calendar year (2006) with 1,788.
Wishing the Pakistani team all the best, Yousaf’s resignation marks the end of his tenure as selector.
