Lahore (MediaBites web desk)- The Oppo K12 Plus is set to launch in China on October 12 at 2:30pm local time, as confirmed by the company via an official Weibo post. The smartphone will be available in two color options: Basalt Black and Snow Peak White. Its design will feature a pill-shaped rear camera module with two camera sensors and an LED flash unit arranged in circular slots.
The Oppo K12 Plus will come equipped with a 6,400mAh battery supporting 80W wired fast charging, and it will run on Android 14-based ColorOS 14. The smartphone is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, feature a 6.7-inch 120Hz Full HD+ AMOLED display, a 50-megapixel main camera, and a 16-megapixel front camera. It may also have an IP54 rating and an in-display optical fingerprint sensor.
Compared to the base Oppo K12, which launched in April 2023 with a 5,500mAh battery and 100W wired SuperVOOC charging support, the K12 Plus offers a larger battery capacity, though with slightly reduced charging speed. Other specifications, such as the display and camera setup, appear to be similar.
Regarding its potential launch in Pakistan, there hasn’t been an official announcement from Oppo yet. However, considering Oppo’s typical global launch strategy, the Oppo K12 Plus could be expected to arrive in Pakistan within a few months after its release in China, possibly by the end of 2024. It would likely be available in similar configurations as the Chinese variant.
