National Group has won all seats in the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry elections 2026 to 2028 with Arif Ehsan Malik elected President and Kashif Zia to serve in 2027-28.
Faisalabad’s business community has delivered a resounding and unambiguous verdict. Despite challenges, controversies and allegations that surrounded the lead-up to polling, the National Group has swept the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry elections 2026 to 2028 in a clean sweep, winning every contested seat across both Corporate Class and Associate Class categories.
The National Group is led by two of Faisalabad’s most respected business figures. Mian Muhammad Adrees, Chairman of the Sitara Group, serves as Group Leader of the Associate Class. Mian Javed Iqbal serves as Group Leader of the Corporate Class. Together they led the National Group’s campaign and together they have delivered one of the most decisive election mandates in FCCI’s recent history.
The result is a powerful statement of confidence from one of Pakistan’s most important industrial and business communities in the leadership that has guided FCCI through one of its most turbulent periods.
The Leadership — A Two-Year Presidential Transition
The newly elected FCCI Executive Committee has confirmed a structured leadership transition for the 2026 to 2028 term.
President 2026-2027: Arif Ehsan Malik
President 2027-2028: Kashif Zia
Vice President 2026-2027: Muhammad Yasin
Vice President 2027-2028: Babar Shahzad
The rotating leadership structure ensures continuity while providing fresh direction in the second year of the term — a model that reflects FCCI’s commitment to institutional stability over individual ambition.
The Full Executive Committee — National Group Members Elected
The following National Group members have been elected to the FCCI Executive Committee for the 2026 to 2028 term:
Ch. Ehsan Ul Haq, Ahmad Bilal, Farhan Tufail, Tanveer Ahmad Afaq, Kh. Javed Ahmed, Imran Latif, Hunain Hamid, Rana Sajid Qayyum, Shahid Hanif Ghouri and Muratab Ali Shah.
The Associate Class Results — Vote by Vote
The second phase of FCCI elections concluded with Associate Class polling. Fourteen seats were contested by 16 candidates from a total voter roll of 4,660 members. Of those, 1,522 votes were cast and 52 were cancelled, leaving 1,470 valid votes.
The successful Associate Class candidates in order of votes received:

Muhammad Saeed — M/s New Prime Electric Cables — 1,299 votes
Muhammad Javed Sharif — M/s Asad Textiles — 1,296 votes

Muhammad Farasat Ali — M/s World Cup Hosiery and Knitwear — 1,293 votes
Muhammad Umar — M/s Mujadid and Sons — 1,291 votes
Muhammad Mughees — M/s Al-Hira International — 1,288 votes
Asim Habib — M/s Chaudhary Traders — 1,284 votes
Muhammad Fazil — M/s National Traders — 1,283 votes
Muhammad Azhar — M/s AT Foods — 1,281 votes
Faisal Naeem Paracha — M/s Choudhary Traders — 1,275 votes
Muhammad Asif — M/s Isha Textile — 1,259 votes
Abdul Salam Shahid — M/s Star Plus International — 1,225 votes
Sadaqat Hussain Khan — M/s Punjab Public School — 1,180 votes
The two unsuccessful candidates — Asghar Ali of M/s B&Z Traders with 297 votes and Zubair Ahmad of M/s Saleem and Sons with 257 votes — received significantly fewer votes, indicating the strength of the National Group slate.
A Clean and Transparent Process
The FCCI Election Commission — comprising former FCCI presidents Atif Munir Sheikh, Muzammil Sultan and Chaudhary Muhammad Nawaz — announced the provisional results and confirmed that elections were conducted in a peaceful and transparent environment.
No candidate raised any objection during the polling process. Lawyers, journalists and representatives of civil society visited the chamber throughout polling and expressed satisfaction over the conduct of elections.
The Election Commission was constituted earlier this year during a meeting of the Executive Committee chaired by outgoing FCCI President Farooq Yousaf Sheikh, with the full schedule announced and followed to the letter.
What This Result Means for Faisalabad
The National Group’s clean sweep — winning every seat across both Corporate and Associate classes — is a result that goes beyond electoral mathematics.
Mian Muhammad Adrees and Mian Javed Iqbal, the National Group’s leaders for Associate and Corporate classes respectively, addressed the result with characteristic directness.
“It is the confidence the business community has reposed in the National Group because of its untiring efforts for the business community,” they said jointly. “The National Group will continue its efforts to facilitate the business community from the platform of FCCI.”
The result is particularly significant given the challenges and allegations — including FESCO-related accusations — that had been raised in the period before the election. Faisalabad’s business community considered those issues and voted with clarity. The National Group’s mandate is not just an electoral victory. It is an institutional endorsement.
What Happens Next
Nomination papers for the offices of President, Senior Vice President and Vice President were receivable until September 25. Scrutiny was completed the same day.
Polling for office bearers is scheduled for September 28.
The final and official results of FCCI Elections 2026-28 will be formally announced during the Annual General Meeting on September 30, 2026.
