WEBDESK – MEDIABITES NEWS:
Majken Nielsen has officially joined Mastercard as SVP Marketing and Communications for Northern Europe, bringing years of strategic B2B marketing and brand leadership experience to the global payments company.
“This week I officially joined Mastercard as SVP Marketing and Communications for Northern Europe,” Nielsen wrote on LinkedIn.
“There are some things money can’t buy — for everything else there’s Mastercard,” she added, referencing the company’s iconic global slogan.
Nielsen also thanked Mastercard executives Erik Gutwasser and Beatrice Cornacchia for backing her from day one.
“Leading a role that excites you, with leaders who back you from day one, is in the first category,” she said.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Nielsen is an experienced and creative B2B marketing executive with a strong background in brand strategy, communications, and customer engagement. Before joining Mastercard, she held senior marketing leadership roles at Salesforce, where she worked as Head of Marketing for Northern Europe.
Industry professionals quickly congratulated Nielsen following the announcement, with many praising her leadership style, strategic vision, and long-standing influence within the European marketing and communications sector.
Her appointment comes as Mastercard continues expanding its focus on digital transformation, customer engagement, and strategic brand positioning across European markets amid rapid changes in financial technology and consumer behavior.
