A mysterious case involving the recovery of a body and a police uniform from a parked vehicle in Lahore’s Defence area on Ring Road has been solved, with police concluding that the victim died by suicide rather than homicide.
According to police officials, the deceased, identified as Adil, was suffering from severe mental stress and family-related disputes before taking his own life.
Authorities said initial investigations raised suspicion after a body was discovered inside a car parked along a roadside two days ago. The recovery of a police uniform from the vehicle further intensified concerns and triggered a detailed inquiry.
Police later confirmed that the uniform belonged to Sub-Inspector Tahir, who was reportedly a close friend of the deceased.
Investigators stated that no evidence of murder or external violence was found during the inquiry, leading authorities to officially classify the case as suicide.
The incident had created panic in the area after images and reports of the body and police uniform circulated on social media, sparking speculation about possible criminal activity.
Police said further legal formalities and forensic procedures are being completed, while officials urged the public to avoid spreading unverified information regarding the case.
