Police in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Johar area have arrested a woman identified as Shireen, also known as Shirina, along with her two sons in a targeted operation against drug trafficking.
According to police, the accused allegedly ran a heroin and narcotics distribution network directly from the window of her apartment, supplying drugs on the spot. Officials said she had previously been arrested in multiple narcotics cases and had around 35 FIRs registered against her in different police stations across the city.
Investigators further revealed that Shireen had earlier operated a major drug hub in the Sohrab Goth area and resumed illegal activities after being released from prison two years ago. In an earlier case, a hand grenade was also recovered from her possession, leading to additional serious charges.
Police confirmed that interrogation of the arrested suspects is underway, and further revelations about the wider drug network are expected.
