Social media influencer and beautician Nisha Chauhan, 40, was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband at their home in Meerut on Friday morning. After the attack, the accused allegedly injured himself with the same weapon. Their son was also hurt while trying to save his mother during the incident.
According to police, the incident is believed to have stemmed from a dispute over the registration of a 1,170-square-foot property. Nisha reportedly wanted the property registered in her name, while her husband opposed the move. Police rushed both to the hospital, where doctors declared Nisha dead, while the accused remains under treatment.
Forensic experts examined the crime scene, collected evidence and recorded statements from the couple’s children. Police are also reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area as the investigation into the incident continues.
