Brother Returning from Abroad Arrested for Allegedly Killing His Brother in Gujrat
Police in Gujrat have arrested a man accused of killing his brother after returning to Pakistan from abroad. The suspect was arrested within five days of the incident, while further investigation into the case is underway.
According to police, the suspect arrived in Pakistan from abroad on October 17 and called his brother, asking him to come from their village to the city.
The two brothers ate together before leaving for home. However, when they reached an isolated location, the suspect allegedly killed his brother and fled the scene.
Police stated that when the father informed the suspect about the killing, he pretended to be abroad. He insisted that the funeral should be delayed until he arrived in Pakistan and later attended his brother’s funeral.
According to police, footage showing the suspect spending time with his brother was captured by surveillance cameras.
Police took action and arrested the suspect within five days of the killing. Initial findings suggest that the murder may have been linked to a land dispute and domestic disagreements between the brothers.
Further investigation is underway to determine the circumstances and motive behind the killing.
