The mysterious deaths of five members of a single family in Greater Noida, in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, have raised concerns. According to Indian media reports, the deceased included a husband, his wife, and their three children, who ate noodles on Friday night.
Food safety officials investigating the incident examined packets of food items consumed by the family. However, they found no expiry dates and no suspicious substances that could clarify the cause of the deaths.
According to Food Safety Officer O.P. Singh, the team inspected all relevant food items used by the family, but no obvious defects were found. Following the absence of any suspicious substances in the food packets, investigators are also considering the possibility of poisoning. However, the exact cause of the deaths has not yet been confirmed.
The food safety officer said that common symptoms of food poisoning include vomiting and diarrhoea. Further investigation is necessary to determine the actual cause of the deaths of the five family members.
The incident has raised several questions about whether the deaths were caused by contaminated food, the effects of a poisonous substance, or some other factor. The actual circumstances will become clear only after the final investigation results are available.
