Popular Pakistani actress star Alizeh Shah has shocked her fans with the deletion of all her Instagram posts, which also includes deleting her profile picture.
Mera Dil Mera Dushman fame actress now has zero posts on her account, which has arisen concern and curiosity in her 4.3 million followers, and while her online presence is quite high, she hasn’t explained herself on this drastic move yet.
It comes several months after she faced considerable backlash for adopting a K-pop-inspired look, which she drew mixed reactions from the social media users.
Alizeh returned to Instagram by the middle of March, flaunting a new look inspired by those K-pop celebrities she so loves. Her look instantly went viral but received some backlash as critics hurled that ‘she looked like everybody’ and accused her of trying too hard to look like the K-pop celebrities that inspired her new look.
One social media user cried, “What did she do? She lost her individuality to look common like every other K-celebrity,” while another just quipped, “When you order a Korean doll from Daraz.” More comments criticized her supposed transformation; one them said, “She ruined her natural beauty,” and another said, “plastic beauty.”
This attention only intensified in May when she appeared for an awards night wearing an outfit that reminded everyone of another Indian influencer, Uorfi Javed. How much backlash? People went onto social media and said things like, “She just got inspired by Urfi,” and some humorously added, “I’m going to have nightmares now.”
While trolls went her way, Alizeh Shah, earlier, had narrated in her Instagram stories, “Still looked better than people sitting at home typing nonsense.” The actress is amid speculations on why the social cleanse.
