Pakistan faces another spell of heavy rain as thunderstorms and strong winds are forecast in Balochistan, while recent rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa killed two people.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a weather alert, forecasting another spell of rain, thunderstorms and strong winds across upper parts of Balochistan from September 3 to 5.
According to the weather department, Zhob, Musa Khel, Sherani, Khuzdar and adjoining areas are expected to receive rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds. The weather system could become stronger on September 4 and 5 as westerly winds intensify, potentially increasing rainfall intensity.
Heavy downpours are also possible at some locations. Authorities have advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel, monitor weather updates and take precautionary measures during severe weather.
The department warned that strong winds and heavy rainfall could damage vulnerable structures, electricity poles, billboards and solar panels. Residents have been advised to stay away from open areas and weak structures during adverse weather.
Meanwhile, recent heavy rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have caused casualties and property damage. Two people, including a woman and a child, were killed, while three others were injured in incidents involving collapsing roofs and walls.
Officials said nine houses were damaged across affected areas, with four completely destroyed. Floodwaters and rain-related incidents also killed 41 livestock.
Rain-related incidents were reported in Buner, Mardan, Mohmand and Shangla. District administrations and relevant departments have been mobilized for relief operations and are monitoring the situation in affected areas.
