First came Deepika Padukone’s reported exit. Now a fresh name has entered the conversation — and it is one that has left Bollywood fans genuinely excited.
Katrina Kaif, the actress who has largely stayed away from the spotlight since embracing motherhood, is reportedly being considered for a key cameo in Spirit.
What the reports say
According to a report by Deccan Herald, Katrina is being considered for a brief but story-significant cameo in the film. The role is reportedly small in screen time but important to the film’s narrative. No official confirmation has come from either the filmmakers or Katrina Kaif’s team, making this purely speculative for now.
But speculation involving Prabhas, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and Katrina Kaif in the same sentence is enough to set the internet on fire.

The Katrina speculation arrives weeks after Deepika Padukone’s reported departure from Spirit became one of Bollywood’s most discussed stories.
Deepika was initially expected to reunite with Prabhas following their pairing in Kalki 2898 AD. However, reports claimed she had exited the project over a combination of demands that the production team reportedly found difficult to accommodate.
According to those reports, Deepika sought a remuneration of approximately Rs 25 crore along with a 10 percent share of the film’s profits. She reportedly preferred an eight-hour daily work schedule, traveling with a large entourage, and was reportedly not keen on dubbing her own Telugu dialogues. While the makers never publicly addressed the specific reasons, differences with the production team were widely reported as the cause of her exit.
Following Deepika’s reported departure, Triptii Dimri was announced as the female lead opposite Prabhas. Now with Katrina’s name entering the conversation for a separate cameo role, Spirit has added yet another layer to its already eventful pre-production journey.
