U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Iran, saying that any attempt to assassinate him would trigger an overwhelming military response.
In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump claimed that if Iran or its government attempted to carry out any threat against his life, the United States was prepared to launch 1,000 missiles targeting the Islamic Republic. He added that thousands more missiles would follow immediately afterward.
Trump further stated that the necessary orders had already been issued and asserted that the U.S. military was fully prepared, willing, and capable of carrying out a large-scale operation against Iran for up to a year, with the possibility of extending the campaign if required.
Speaking to U.S. media, Trump also remarked that he had been on Iran’s “hit list” for a long time, adding, “If I am killed, I hope you will remember me.”
The remarks have drawn global attention as tensions between Washington and Tehran remain high. Trump emphasized that the U.S. military is on full alert and warned that any attack against him would be met with an immediate and devastating response.
The statements reflect President Trump’s claims and warnings. No independent evidence has been presented to verify any alleged assassination plot or the operational details of the military response described.
