The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast dust storms and rain-thundershowers, with intermittent breaks, across upper and central regions from June 13 to 16, offering relief from the ongoing severe heatwave.
Moist currents are entering northern areas, and a westerly wave is expected to arrive on June 13, triggering this weather activity.
Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Murree, Galliyan, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Mansehra, Battagram, Shangla, Kohistan, and Abbottabad are likely to see rain, dust storms, and isolated hailstorms during this period.
Southern Punjab and upper Sindh are also expected to receive dust storms and thunderstorms.
The PMD has warned that strong winds, hail, and lightning may damage loose structures and infrastructure.
