The latest player rankings for Test, One Day International (ODI), and T20 formats have been published by the International Cricket Council (ICC), showcasing significant changes in the position for cricket celebrities worldwide.
Test Rankings
England’s Joe Root still holds the top spot in the Test rankings for batsmen, showing his continued dominance. Yashasvi Jaiswal ascended to fifth position from India, with Usman Khawaja from Australia and Mohammad Rizwan from Pakistan advancing to seventh and eighth spots, respectively.
India’s captain Rohit Sharma dropped down to 10th place, with Pakistan’s Babar Azam following closely behind in 11th place.
Former Indian captain Virat Kohli also slipped five places, now at 12th, whereas Shubman Gill made significant strides, jumping five places to claim 14th position. Sri Lanka’s Kamindu Mendis moved up three spots to rank 16th.
In the Test bowlers’ rankings, India’s Ravichandran Ashwin holds onto the top spot. His compatriot Ravindra Jadeja moved up a place to take sixth, while Sri Lanka’s Prabath Jayasuriya leaped five places to settle at the eighth spot. Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi holds the 10th position in the same category. Jadeja continues to shine in the all-rounder rankings, where he remains number one in Test cricket.
ODI rankings
Pakistan white-ball skipper Babar Azam solidified his dominance in the ODI rankings as the top batsman globally, retaining his position at the top. Rahmanullah Gurbaz of Afghanistan gained ten spots to reach the 8th position, while Travis Head of Australia moved up seven spots to reach the 9th position in the rankings. Fakhar Zaman of Pakistan is positioned in 10th place.
South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj holds the first position among ODI bowlers, while Australia’s Adam Zampa has moved one spot up to second place. Rashid Khan of Afghanistan jumped up eight spots to secure the third position, with Shaheen Afridi of Pakistan moving up to sixth place.
In the all-rounders’ category for ODIs, Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi continues to dominate as the best all-rounder.
T20 Rankings
In T20 rankings, Australia’s Travis Head ranks first among batters. Pakistan’s Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan stand at fifth and sixth, respectively. England’s Adil Rashid remains the top bowler, while his fellow countryman Liam Livingstone retains the number one position in the T20 all-rounder category.
