Four Pakistani nationals from Mandi Bahauddin district were shot dead in a targeted attack by unidentified gunmen in South Africa, according to initial reports.
Among the victims were two brothers, Sajid Ahmed and Zafar Ahmed, residents of Billahar village in Mandi Bahauddin. The other two victims, also from the same district, were reportedly traveling with them at the time of the attack.
Preliminary information suggests the assailants were lying in wait before ambushing the group. The four men had reportedly closed their shop and were on their way home when they were stopped and shot at close range. All four died at the scene.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and local authorities have launched an investigation to identify those responsible. Pakistani officials are expected to remain in contact with South African authorities as further details emerge.
