World Cup: Switzerland Beat Colombia on Penalties to reach Quarters

Switzerland reached the FIFA World Cup quarterfinals for the first time since 1954 after beating Colombia 4-3 on penalties following a 0-0 draw in their last 16 match.

The game remained goalless after extra time, with both teams creating chances but failing to find the breakthrough. Colombia came closest to winning in the closing moments of added time, but they could not take their opportunity, forcing the match into a penalty shootout.
