Belgium 0-0 Iran
Belgium and Iran shared the points in a tense 0-0 draw in their Group G clash at the World Cup. Iran thought they had taken the lead through Mehdi Taremi, but the goal was ruled out by VAR. Goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand produced a series of crucial saves, including a stunning stop to deny Maxim De Cuyper, while Belgium were reduced to 10 men after Nathan Ngoy’s red card in the second half. Despite a frantic finish and several chances at both ends, neither side could find a winner, leaving Group G wide open heading into the final round of matches.
Spain 4-0 Saudi Arabia
Spain bounced back from a disappointing opening draw with a dominant 4-0 victory over Saudi Arabia in Group H. Lamine Yamal opened the scoring with his first World Cup goal before Mikel Oyarzabal struck twice in quick succession to put the match beyond doubt before halftime. An own goal early in the second half completed the rout as Spain comfortably controlled proceedings. The win moved the European champions onto four points and boosted their hopes of reaching the knockout stage, while Saudi Arabia remained on one point after two matches.
Japan 4-0 Tunisia
Japan moved closer to the World Cup knockout stage with a commanding 4-0 victory over Tunisia in Group F. Daichi Kamada gave the Blue Samurai an early lead before Ayase Ueda doubled the advantage and later added his second of the match. Junya Ito was also on target as Japan dominated throughout to claim their first win of the tournament. The result lifted Japan to four points alongside the Netherlands at the top of the group, while Tunisia were eliminated after suffering a second consecutive defeat.
Germany 2-1 Ivory Coast
Germany secured their place in the World Cup knockout stages with a dramatic 2-1 comeback victory over Ivory Coast. Franck Kessie gave the African side the lead in the first half, but substitute Deniz Undav changed the game after coming off the bench, scoring the equaliser in the 68th minute. With the match heading for a draw, Undav struck again deep into stoppage time to complete the turnaround and seal all three points. The victory sent Germany through to the last 32, while Ivory Coast must now beat Curacao in their final group match to keep their qualification hopes alive.
