    Muslims worldwide celebrate Eid today as Pakistan prepares for Saturday’s observance, highlighting differences in moon-sighting while marking the end of Ramadan with prayers, charity, and festivities.

    Muslims across the Middle East, Europe, and parts of Africa are celebrating Eid al-Fitr today, while Pakistan and several South Asian countries are set to observe the festival on Saturday due to differences in moon sighting.

    Several countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and Turkey, have confirmed Eid celebrations for today following moon-sighting announcements.
    In parts of North Africa and Europe, including Morocco, Egypt, and Belgium, communities are also marking Eid in a rare regional alignment.

    However, countries like Pakistan, India, and others in South Asia will celebrate Eid on Saturday after the Shawwal crescent was not sighted locally, continuing the long-standing variation in observance dates.

    Eid ul Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic month of fasting, and is one of the most significant religious festivals for Muslims worldwide.

    Across the globe, celebrations begin with special congregational prayers, followed by charity in the form of Zakat al-Fitr to ensure the less fortunate can also join in the festivities. Families gather, exchange gifts, and enjoy traditional meals, reflecting both unity and cultural diversity.

    From grand feasts in the Middle East to vibrant homecomings in Indonesia and community gatherings in Europe and North America, Eid highlights Islam’s global presence and shared values of gratitude and compassion.

    Despite differences in dates, the spirit of Eid remains universal—celebrating the end of a spiritually significant month with joy, generosity, and togetherness.
