The UAE has confirmed that Wednesday, April 10, 2024, corresponding to the 1st of Shawwal, will mark the beginning of Eid Al Fitr.
As per the UAE Moon-Sighting Committee, tomorrow, Tuesday, April 9, will be observed as the final day of Ramadan.
Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, Minister of Justice and Chairman of the Committee, stated that despite exhausting the Sharia methods of sighting the crescent and coordinating with neighboring countries, the Shawwal month crescent was not sighted on Monday evening.
Consequently, Tuesday, April 9, has been declared as the last day of Ramadan 1445, and Wednesday, April 10, will be the first day of Eid Al Fitr.
The minister and committee members conveyed heartfelt congratulations on this auspicious occasion to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Presidential Court,Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, and the Crown Princes.
Furthermore, they extended their felicitations to the people of the UAE and Muslims worldwide on this joyous occasion.
