During a court session in the federal capital, it was revealed that Sandal Khattak, a well-known TikToker, filmed her former friend Hareem Shah with the latter’s consent. In the case related to the video leak involving Shah, Khattak had filed a plea seeking post-arrest bail. After considering the arguments, the Special Judge Central Islamabad granted her bail.
The recent statement provided by the suspect contradicted her previous claim during a different hearing, where she denied filming Shah’s videos.
Khattak’s lawyer stated during the hearing that his client did not receive any notice before two cases were filed against her. He mentioned that Hareem Shah had registered two FIRs, one in Lahore and another in Peshawar, against Sandal Khattak.
The lawyer further explained that Khattak used to live stream and did not upload recorded videos on social platforms. He emphasized that no evidence was obtained from Khattak’s mobile phone, and TikTok’s regulations prohibit the uploading of illicit videos.
The lawyer also argued that Shah can be seen laughing in the videos, indicating her consent to being filmed.
Additionally, the lawyer pointed out that nothing incriminating was found against Khattak during her time in custody, and there is no need for further interrogation.
He added that although Khattak’s phone was taken into custody, Shah’s cell phone was not secured.
Taking into account the arguments presented, the judge granted bail to Sandal Khattak, who had been recently arrested after her initial bail plea was rejected.
