More than 3,500 Pakistani nationals have been deported from the United Arab Emirates after allegedly violating social media regulations during the recent Iran–US tensions, according to a briefing presented in the National Assembly.
Officials stated that during the period of heightened regional conflict, strict enforcement of UAE cyber and media laws led to action against individuals accused of breaching online conduct rules. The deported citizens have been sent back to Pakistan, while reports suggest that their property matters are being handed over to legal heirs.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has assured full assistance to those affected, adding that any individual facing difficulties regarding assets or legal formalities can approach the ministry for support.
