The 42nd Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) is set to feature six interactive areas with 900 workshops conducted by experts from 12 different countries.
Under the theme ‘We Speak Books,’ the cultural event will run for 12 days from November 1st to 12th at Expo Centre Sharjah.
These interactive areas will cover topics like meditation, self-development, creative arts, animation, communication, handicrafts, and more, catering to visitors of all ages.
The event has attracted the highest number of participating countries in its history, with 2,033 publishers and exhibitors from 108 nations offering 1.5 million titles.
The program includes book signings by 600 authors and over 1,700 activities led by guests from 69 countries, spanning diverse interests and age groups.
The SIBF 2023 is organized by the Sharjah Book Authority (SBA).

In his keynote address, SBA Chairman Ahmed Al Ameri announced that for the second year in a row, SIBF had emerged as the largest book fair in the world in terms of buying and selling copyrights in 2022. The SBA Chairman said:
