A helicopter belonging to Saudi oil giant Aramco crashed in Ras Tanura on Sunday, killing all 14 people on board, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Officials confirmed that all victims were Saudi nationals. Authorities have not yet disclosed the cause of the crash, saying a formal investigation is underway.

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Energy expressed condolences to the families of the victims and described the incident as a tragic loss.

The crash took place in Ras Tanura, one of the world’s most important oil export hubs located on Saudi Arabia’s Gulf coast.

The incident comes shortly after Aramco resumed oil loading operations at the terminal following months of disruption caused by tensions in the Strait of Hormuz and the wider Iran-US conflict.

Ras Tanura plays a critical role in global energy supplies, handling large volumes of Saudi crude exports destined for Asia and Europe.

Authorities have not indicated whether weather conditions, technical failure, or operational issues contributed to the crash. Further details are expected once the investigation progresses.
