British actor and comedian Russell Brand has been accused of rape, sexual assault, and emotional abuse by four women in a joint investigation.
This investigation was conducted by The UK Times, The Sunday Times, and UK network Channel 4’s television series Dispatches.
The alleged assaults occurred between 2006 and 2013, during which Brand was known for his film roles and his marriage to singer Katy Perry. The allegations were detailed in a documentary airing on Channel 4.
The accusations include rape, grooming, abusive behavior, and sexual misconduct.
One woman reported being raped by Brand in 2012 and seeking medical aid afterward.
Another woman described a three-month “emotionally and sexually abusive” relationship with Brand when she was 16.
A third woman claimed Brand sexually assaulted her in 2013 and threatened legal action if she spoke out.
A fourth woman, a Channel 4 runner, alleged that Brand exposed himself to her.
Russel Brand denies all allegations:
Brand released a YouTube video denying the allegations, stating that all his relationships during that period were consensual.
His lawyers did not provide further comments on the allegations. Brand has a history of controversy, including a 2008 incident that led to his resignation from a BBC Radio 2 show.
