In a recent official notice, it was revealed that the Gujranwala Motorway Link Project has commenced construction. Valued at Rs. 11 billion, this initiative aims to establish a crucial connection between Gujranwala and the motorway. The project is set to be finalized within a span of 90 days, offering enhanced travel convenience for the city’s population of 600,000.
The undertaking encompasses the creation of a 58.1-kilometer roadway, featuring two flyovers, which will link Gujranwala to an interchange near Mooramanabad. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Gujranwala, Fayyaz Aslam, affirmed that the motorway will remain operational during the construction phase and assured that the project will be expedited to achieve the shortest possible completion time.
Termed as a significant stride forward for Gujranwala, a city presently unlinked to the motorway, this new connection promises quicker and more efficient access for residents to various regions across the nation. Furthermore, it is anticipated to stimulate economic activity within the area, marking a noteworthy development.
