PTI female activist Sanam Javed’s husband also arrested

Authorities are taking stringent action against the perpetrators involved in the attack on the Lahore Jinnah House. In a recent development, Atiq Riaz, the husband of PTI social media activist Sanam Javed, has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Subsequently, Atiq Riaz was presented before the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) for an identification parade. The investigators sought permission for legal proceedings, which the ATC judge approved. Consequently, Atiq Riaz has been sent to jail on a six-day judicial remand.

The accused’s lawyer argued that the case against Atiq Riaz is politically motivated, implying that it might be driven by political reasons rather than solely based on evidence.

It’s worth noting that Sanam Javed, the PTI activist and a staunch supporter, is already in jail in connection with the May arson case. She was apprehended from Lahore following violent clashes that erupted across the country after the arrest of the PTI chief, a shocking event that had triggered unrest.
