P@SHA has announced provisional results of its Central Executive Committee elections for 2026 to 2028 with twelve members elected across corporate associate and women reserved seat categories on September 17 and 18.
Pakistan’s most important technology industry body has a new governing committee. The Election Commission of the Pakistan Software Houses Association for IT and ITES has announced the provisional results of the Central Executive Committee elections for 2026 to 2028, following polling held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, across three cities.
The elections were conducted under the Trade Organizations Act 2013 and the Trade Organizations Rules 2013, under the stewardship of an independent three-member Election Commission comprising Dr. Aftab Maroof, Mr. Talib S. Karim, and Dr. Kashif Zafar. Counting of votes was conducted in camera in the presence of observers, including candidates and their polling agents. No objection was recorded at any polling station during the counting process.
Corporate Class — Seven Seats
Seven seats were contested and filled in the Corporate Class category representing Pakistan’s established software houses and technology companies:
1. Dr. Shoab Ahmed Khan — CARE (Pvt.) Ltd.
2. Faisal Kamiran — ADDO AI
3. Khushnood Aftab — Viper Technology (Pvt.) Ltd.
4. Mohammad Zohaib Khan — A2Z Creatorz
5. Muhammad Azam Mughal — SecureBeans
6. Samad Saleem — Digi Trends (Pvt.) Ltd.
7. Syed Junaid Ahmad — Softoo (Pvt.) Ltd.
Mohammad Zohaib Khan’s return to the CEC is particularly noteworthy. He previously served as P@SHA Chairman from 2022 to 2024, providing the new committee with experienced leadership from day one.
Associate Class — Three Seats
Three seats were filled in the Associate Class representing Pakistan’s growing technology companies and IT-enabled services firms:
1. Ahmed Javed Vaseer — Ing.Con Softworks (Pvt.) Ltd.
2. Shaikh Ayaz Ali — KNOATIV
3. Wahab Yunus — Eraflip Tech (SMC-Pvt.) Ltd.
Women Reserved Seats — Two Seats
In a separate election held on Friday September 18, 2026, the newly elected CEC members cast their votes for the two reserved seats for women entrepreneurs. Both elections were conducted across Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad under DGTO directives and supervised by the Election Commission.
1. Fatima Asad-Said — Abacus Consulting Technology Limited
2. Shawana Iftikhar — Work Generations (Pvt.) Ltd.
The inclusion of dedicated women-reserved seats reflects P@SHA’s commitment to ensuring that women technology entrepreneurs have a formal and guaranteed voice in Pakistan’s apex IT industry body.
Outgoing CEC
The incoming committee replaces the 2024 to 2026 CEC, which was led by Chairman Sajjad Mustafa Syed, Senior Vice Chairman Umair Nizam, Vice Chairman Raheel Iqbal, and Treasurer Haris Naseer, alongside five other elected members and two women holding reserved seats.
What Happens Next
These results are provisional. The final result of the election of members of the Central Executive Committee will be officially announced at the Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. The results will be submitted to the Regulator within seven days of the AGM, in accordance with Rule 18, sub-rules 19 and 21, of the Trade Organizations Rules 2013.
The new CEC will then elect its Office Bearers — Chairman, Senior Vice Chairman, Vice Chairman and Treasurer — from among the elected members at a separate poll.
The 2026 to 2028 CEC inherits a Pakistani IT sector that has recorded significant export growth in recent years and faces the challenge of sustaining that momentum in a global landscape reshaped by artificial intelligence, shifting international client priorities, and intensifying regional competition.
