Penguin Random House and Klamat Group have recently revealed a new strategic partnership in the field of publishing.
Penguin Random House and Kalimat Group, a prominent publisher of Arabic books in the UAE, have joined forces in an exciting strategic publishing partnership. Their shared objective is to expand the availability of books in international markets and to introduce Arabic literature to readers worldwide through translations.
This collaboration reflects the mutual vision of both institutions, which is to discover and support emerging talents in the writing and authorship field while promoting literary diversity.
Initially, the partnership will harness the collective strengths of both companies to offer a curated selection of distinguished books to a broader global audience.
It will include fictional works from a diverse list of authors represented by both institutions, enriching the literary landscape and fostering a love for reading among readers everywhere.
As part of the agreement, Penguin Random House, operating through its Indian branch, will translate a selection of Arabic literary works published by Kalimat into English and release them in the global market.
In return, Kalimat will translate selected titles from Penguin Random House’s catalog into Arabic, making them accessible to Arab readers worldwide. This collaborative effort promises to open up new horizons for both Arabic and international literature, connecting readers across cultures and continents.
