In a stunning display of skill and determination, 17-year-old Younas Mehsud from Waziristan has made headlines globally by breaking the Guinness World Record for most punches thrown with one arm in just a minute.
His incredible achievement, totaling 265 full-extension punches, surpasses the previous record set by an Egyptian athlete, marking a historic moment for Pakistani sports.
Under the guidance of renowned Pakistani martial artist Irfan Mehsood, who boasts an impressive collection of over 70 Guinness World Records, Mehsud has been honing his skills. Mehsood, also Mehsud’s trainer, previously set a world record for the most one-hand punches in 60 seconds while holding a 1kg weight.
Expressing gratitude and admiration for his mentor, Mehsud commended Mr. Irfan Mahsud as an inspiration in the world of martial arts. With more than 70 world records to Mehsood’s name, Younas Mehsud is determined to continue his journey, eyeing the possibility of setting another world record—this time, with both hands.
Acknowledging the unwavering support of his parents, Mehsud emphasized their role in fueling his passion for sports. Beyond personal achievements, Mehsud aspires to reshape the perception of Waziristan by projecting a positive and softer image through his remarkable feats in martial arts.
