Famous Pakistani actress Hira Khan on Tuesday come forward with a shocking revelation about a haunting incident of casting she narrowly escaped.
In a viral clip of her interview doing rounds on social media, she shared the details of how once a director tried to woo her into a suspicious audition under questionable circumstances.
During the interview, she told that once she was working for a drama, another actress told her that one of the directors was looking for an addition in the female cast of his serial and pass the number, call him. Hira says this is how she got his contact and called, starting the conversation.
However, things started to take a weird turn when the director started asking for photos of Hira, mentioning he did not want to see any of her previous work and wanted her on an audition immediately.
When Hira asked to come in for the audition in the afternoon, he pressed for 11 PM instead. He then told her to put on a short or a bold dress, even assuring her that this audition would not come into the open and that the videos would be shown only to the producers.
Hira felt that something was fishy and immediately turned her phone off. She sought the advice of another director in the industry. He confirmed her suspicion, telling her that no genuine auditions were conducted this way, so this was an attempted scam.
Undoubtedly, Hira Khan’s act of courage has sparked a talking point about the many dilemmas and risks an aspiring actor, especially a female, is forced to bear in this entertainment industry. A story serving as a strong reminder for vigilance and caution against predators.
