The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast further rainfall across several parts of the country today, urging citizens to take precautionary measures amid changing weather conditions.
According to the latest advisory, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and parts of Balochistan are likely to experience rain accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds in some areas.
In Punjab, rain is expected in Rawalpindi, Murree, the Galiyat region, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Sahiwal, Khushab, Sargodha, Bhakkar, Layyah, Faisalabad, Jhang, Khanewal, Multan, Vehari, Kasur, and Okara, among other districts.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most areas are expected to remain hot and dry; however, rainfall is likely in Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Buner, Kohat, and Dera Ismail Khan. Light to moderate showers may also affect Peshawar, Swabi, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Khyber, and parts of South Waziristan.
Sindh is expected to remain largely hot and dry, with temperatures in Karachi reaching up to 35°C. Similarly, most parts of Balochistan will continue to experience hot conditions, although rain is possible in Barkhan, Sibi, Kohlu, and Zhob.
Authorities have advised residents in rain-affected regions to stay cautious, particularly in areas prone to flooding and strong winds.
