Novak Djokovic no retirement plans have once again made headlines as the tennis legend confirmed he is not thinking about quitting the sport anytime soon. The 24-time Grand Slam winner, now 38 years old, said he draws inspiration from global icons like Cristiano Ronaldo, LeBron James, and Tom Brady, who all continue to perform at the highest level despite their age.
Speaking at the Joy Forum in Riyadh, Djokovic said that “longevity” is his biggest motivation. He wants to see how long he can compete at the top. The Serbian champion believes age is just a number when passion and discipline are strong. “They’re inspiring me as well,” he said, referring to Ronaldo, Brady, and LeBron, who are still active in their late 30s and 40s.
Currently ranked world number five, Djokovic is playing in Saudi Arabia’s Six Kings Slam, where he faced Italy’s Jannik Sinner in the semifinals for a chance to meet Carlos Alcaraz in the final. He also reached the semifinals of all four Grand Slams this year and won his 100th career title in Geneva.
