Kuwait is gearing up to introduce a fresh Family Visa choice in the early months of 2024, as disclosed by the Ministry of Interior.
Aimed at Article 22 visa applicants, this option caters specifically to individuals’ families or dependents falling under select expatriate categories such as doctors, university professors, applied education professors, and counselors.
Although the eligibility criteria are yet to be unveiled, the ministry intends to establish a committee that will outline the conditions for expatriate groups eligible to bring their families along.

This initiative falls in line with the demographic strategy led by Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. Additionally, revelations have surfaced regarding the unified Gulf visa mechanism for Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
Stringent regulations are set for those overstaying visas, with a daily fine of KD100. Mandatory health insurance and a pre-confirmed hotel reservation throughout the stay are also part of the new regulations.
