Nauman Sikandar Mirza, MD & CEO foodpanda Pakistan has announced to quit from Febraury 28, 2022. He wrote a detail post on LinkedIn about his decision of leaving foodpanda.
Dear LinkedIn Family and Friends,
I wanted to share some important news with you – I have decided to move on from my current role as CEO and MD for foodpanda Pakistan. I’ve been thinking about this for a while and I believe it’s the right time for me to make this decision and pursue other passions.
Since embarking on a journey to form Pakistan’s first restaurant review platform back in 2011, it’s been a roller coaster ride to build food connection Pakistan, then EatOye! And then building foodpanda in Pakistan. It’s been a journey fueled with Passion and a mission to accomplish something great for myself, our teams, restaurants, riders, and all stakeholders and of course for my country, Pakistan. Allah has been very kind to bless me with this opportunity and the journey I went through.
I am grateful for the unwavering support, belief, passion and love from my family, friends, founding members and all my teams at FCPK, EatOye! And foodpanda. I am also very grateful to all our restaurants, riders, and all other partners for working closely with us and setting new standards of service delivery and excellence in Pakistan.
I am extremely optimistic and very confident that with the amazing team in Pakistan and globally, as well as Delivery Hero’s strong market positioning – foodpanda in Pakistan will continue to grow at an unprecedented rate and accomplish even greater things in the future.
My last day at foodpanda Pakistan will be 28th February, 2022. However, I will always be cheering from the sidelines as foodpanda will continue to hold a special place in my heart and I will always remain an avid user. We have a very strong leadership team in place who will keep the engine running – an announcement for a new leader will come in due course.
