The Bol Group has appointed Nadeem Raza, a highly experienced news professional with over three decades in the news and media industry, as its Chief Operations Officer (COO).
Nadeem Raza’s extensive background includes senior executive positions at prominent news organizations, including PTV News, 24 News, Samaa TV, Hum News, Express TV, and Dunya News.

Nadeem Raza embarked on his media career in 2002 as a producer at Geo News. After nearly six and a half years at Geo News, he undertook a pivotal role by joining Samee TV as a key member of their launch team in 2009. He also reflects on his valuable experiences at Samaa TV.

The year 2010 marked a pinnacle in my career, as I received an offer to become the Controller News at SAMAA TV. At SAMAA TV, I brought to bear all my expertise in both print and broadcast journalism. Through sheer dedication and hard work, we managed to outperform Geo News in terms of ratings. Subsequently, I was promoted to the role of Head of News at SAMAA TV. During that period, it was a widely accepted notion within the media industry that only two leading channels could claim the top position. However, I played a pivotal role in reshaping this tradition, propelling SAMAA TV to unprecedented ratings heights and establishing it as a recognized player among mainstream channels.

Another important milestone of his career was joining 24 News HD and successfully relaunched and converted 24 News from a current affairs channel to a news channel.

Mr. Nadeem Raza also successfully launched HUM News as Director News. He writes about his experience with Hum news..

In August 2018, I assumed the role of Director of News at Hum News TV and led the successful launch of a new channel, marked by a distinct approach, mindset, and presentation. Under my leadership, this news channel gained recognition as one of the most reputable and professional news organizations in Pakistan. Hum News quickly carved out its unique identity. I introduced a pioneering concept in Pakistan, eliminating the traditional notion of “breaking news.” Despite the challenges of retaining viewers with a non-stop format, we achieved this feat. I introduced a novel approach centered on solution-oriented news and addressing social issues that resonate with the general public.

MediaBites enthusiastically congratulates and extends its best wishes to Nadeem Raza, a prominent figure in the news industry, as he takes on the role of Chief Operations Officer at Bol Media Group. While this journey may come with its own set of challenges, we are fully confident that his exceptional qualities and professional expertise will undoubtedly lead to success in his new position at Bol.
